Call for papers and submission


9th IEEE International Workshop on Advances in Sensors and Interfaces
(IWASI 2023)

The 9th IEEE International Workshop on Advances in Sensors and Interfaces welcomes authors to submit their contributions according to Aims and Scope topics.

Accepted papers will be presented either as oral presentations, posters or interactive presentations.

Interactive presentations will be live demonstrations of working prototypes (hardware/software), conducted in a dedicated exhibition room, where selected author(s) will set up the proposed system and will have the opportunity to show direct proof of their working systems, discuss and challenge conference attendees.

All accepted papers (presentations, poster and interactive presentations) will be included in the workshop proceedings available on IEEEXplore and indexed on Scopus and ISI Web of Science.
Selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version for publication in a prestigious IEEE journal.

Submission deadline

Paper submissions are expected by: March 1, 2023 March 25, 2023 (extended).

Submission instructions

Please format your paper according to the instructions given below:

  • Paper file MUST meet the IEEE requirements. The authors MUST use IEEE Templates provided for Microsoft Word and LaTex files available here.
  • A4 format is required for the IEEE template.
  • Strict page limit: 6 pages including references.
  • DO NOT include page numbers.
  • DO NOT include any copyright information.
  • Remove all footers/headers from your manuscript.
  • Submit your paper in PDF format.

Camera-ready and IEEE eCF submission Instructions

After the author notification, the authors of accepted papers are invited to:

  • Prepare their manuscripts ONLY AND EXCLUSIVELY according to the IEEE template provided in the Submission Instructions section above
  • Include the proposed revisions in the review process.
  • Check the IEEE Xplore-compatiblity® of the final PDF or source file (.docx; LaTeX) via the IEEE PDF eXpress tool, by following these steps:
    • Open IEEE PDF eXpress
    • Create a new user or log-in
    • Enter 58316X as the Conference ID
    • Follow the guidelines provided by IEEE PDFeXpress wizard
    • Download the verified PDF file
  • Upload the verified PDF file to the conference submission system by following these steps:
    • Log-in on the Microsoft CMT conference submission system
    • From the Author Console in CMT, click on the link "Create Camera Ready Submission."
    • The "Create New Camera Ready Submission" page allows the corresponding author to edit the title, abstract, and author information. PLEASE, AT THIS STAGE PROVIDE THE COMPLETE LIST OF AUTHORS.
    • Authors will be redirected to IEEE eCF site to submit the copyright form.
    • After filling out the IEEE copyright form on eCF site, authors MUST download the form and upload it into CMT.
